Lydia Melesio

Lydia Paula Melesio, born in Slayton, Texas, but made her home in Waco, Texas, died Thursday, May 28, 2015, at her home surrounded by Boyd and Baby Boy (her beloved animals) and family. A Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 1, at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 31, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, in Waco.
Born in 1952, Lydia spent her working years with WISD at the Provident Heights Elementary and Brook Avenue Elementary campuses. This was a job which allowed her to indulge in her love of helping children and watching them succeed. All who knew her, knew of her generosity and selflessness.
Lydia is survived by her friend and companion of 22 years, "Shorty" Sanchez.
