Luther Carnahan

Luther Earl “Mike” Carnahan Sr., 65, of Mart, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at his home. A visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.

Mike was born August 26, 1953 in El Paso, Texas. He married Jan Kent on April 27, 1973 in Waco, Texas. Mike served his country in the US Air Force for three years. In his early years he enjoyed fishing, listening to country music and creating many unique treasures with his woodworking skills. He loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, especially with his grandchildren. One of the things Mike always looked forward to, was the next cruise adventure with Jan. Mike was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren more than anything.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emma Louise and Calvin Eugene Linkous Sr.; and son, Luther Earl Carnahan Jr.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jan; children, Kimberly Valmera, Jessica Lucio, Crystal Carnahan, Vincent Fernandez; grandchildren, Keelye Greenhill and husband Erik, Austin Pierce, Madison Claridy, Michael Carnahan, Ian Attaway, Luther Earl Carnahan III (Trey), Matthew Carnahan, Jessica Richardson, Brooke Lucio; great-grandchild, Judson Greenhill; siblings, Calvin Linkous Jr. and wife Janie, Carla Bell and husband Jimmy, Carlton Linkous; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
