Lucio Moreno

Lucio Moreno Sr, 88, of Chilton, passed away, Monday, July 25, 2016. Graveside service will be 10 am, Friday, July 29th at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lott, Texas with Rev. Ron Feather officiating. A visitation will be 6 – 7 pm, with Rosary following from 7 – 8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Waco. Lucio will be laid to rest with his wife, Romana Castro Moreno; son, Albert Moreno; and daughter, Maria Dora Fearing.

Lucio was born July 6, 1928 to Ignacio and Alejandra Casas Moreno in Taylor, Texas. He spent most of his life farming. Lucio was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Romana; son, Albert; daughter, Maria Dora; and brother, Benny Moreno.

Survivors include his sons, Martin Moreno and wife Mary Lou, Nick Moreno, Lucio Moreno Jr and wife Dolores; daughters, Julia Carrizales and husband Crespin Sr, Mary Dominguez and husband Francisco Sr, Yolanda Rosas and husband Max Jr, Maria McCormick; Sixteen grandchildren; Thirty-four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Diaz, Cruz Moreno, Anita Moreno, Rosie Perez, Rachael Deleon; brothers, Jose Moreno, Jesse Moreno, Leno Moreno; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
