Louise (Gaskamp) Glaesmann, age 87, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Providence Village in Waco, where she resided the past four years, the last four months in hospice care with Community Healthcare of Texas. Funeral services will be 11am Friday, January 3rd at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Reverend Peter Kolb officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Waco Memorial Park. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 10am at the funeral home.
Louise was born on January 24, 1937 in Independence, Texas to Rudolph and Erma (Buck) Gaskamp. She attended Hoddeville Elementary and Burton Schools. On June 18, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert H. Glaesmann in Brenham, Texas. They moved to the Waco/Robinson area where they raised their three children, Gary, Michael and Brenda. They spent fifty wonderful years together and enjoyed most of their time camping, having fish frys and BBQ cookouts.
Their love for polka, waltzes and country music was proven as they flawlessly danced together across the dance floor. They were lifetime members of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waco. Louise worked fifteen plus years at HEB as a meat wrapper and stocking the meat counter.
Louise’s kindred spirit touched many lives. She was a devoted wife, mother, cherished sister, and loving Meme to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She possessed a soft heart and will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, joke telling, and being an amazing cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Gary Wayne and Michael Ray; and brother, William Gaskamp.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Brenda Robinson and husband Rod; daughter-in-law, Johanna Glaesmann; grandchildren, Brandon Glaesmann and wife Courtney, Ashley Brazell and husband Rusty, Aaron Robinson and wife Megan, Blake Glaesmann and wife Brittiany, and Bryce Glaesmann; great-grandchildren, Zachary Glaesmann, River, Kinder and Ember Robinson, Elliana Brazell, Keagan and Savvy Glaesmann. She is also survived by her siblings, Rosalie Hutyra, Bernell Bezanson, Rudy Gaskamp; sister-in-law, Sally Gaskamp; brother-in-law, Clinton Glaesmann and wife Bobbye; along with many nieces and nephews, several cousins and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be William Carter, David Gaskamp, Kenneth Hutyra, Ronnie Glaesmann, Preston Gaskamp, Shane Clay, and Charles Gaskamp.
