Linda S. Carlisle was born in Waco, TX, to the parentage of John M. and Inez L. (Hargrove) Carlisle. Our Mother sadly passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 70.
Linda was a wonderful Mother that was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. Our Mother was a cherished friend to many and lived a beautiful life. She was full of love, life and resilience, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Our Mom was a hard and educated worker, always excelling to the fullest in every job. One of her most memorable jobs was being a Train Conductor, where she was exposed to a multitude of loonies on the rails. If you knew our mom, you have heard at least one of her train stories.
Linda was a loving, doting Nana to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and bonus grandchildren. Being a Nana, she has always said it was her greatest accomplishment.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sherrie Powell; two brothers, Johnny and Randy Carlisle; and grandson, Dakota Fischer.
She is survived by two daughters, Crystal Castillo and Ashley Boterf (Asher); one bonus black daughter, MaryEllen Loyd (James); and five grandchildren, Cassandra and Chelsea Castillo, Ryan Johnson, Taydon and Kaleb Boterf; great-grandchildren, Alexavier Ruiz and Dakota Castillo; brother, Jimmy Carlisle (Donna), sister, Carolyn Gentry (Kenneth); bonus grandchildren, Jeanni Loyd, Jacob Stewart, Camille Gentry and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends to cherish her memories.
