Lillian Faye West, 88, of Waco, TX, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Pastor Buddy Sipe officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the funeral home.
Faye was born April 13, 1933, in Waco, TX, to William and Lillie West. She was married to Charles Nawara, Jr. for 48 years until his passing in 1999. Faye was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After staying home and raising her children, Faye went to work at Walmart, Piggly Wiggly and Baylor. She loved her family and they loved her very much. She cherished family get-togethers, especially the holidays and cooking for her loved ones. She was very involved in her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives. Family trips to Colorado were very special to her. Faye’s family will remember her for her incredible strength and love.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Nawara, Jr.; brothers, Jeff West, Homer West, David West and sister, Helen Scungio.
She is survived by her children, Janey Eastwood and husband, Glenn, Roger Nawara, Sr. and wife Margie; Jimmy Nawara and wife Cynthia, and Kathy Salyer; sister, Evelyn Henson and husband Jim; grandchildren, Roger Nawara, Jr., Calyssa Sims, Brianna Salyer, Charles Salyer, Brien Coleman, Rayann Barker, Julia Nawara and Cheyanne Nawara; 17 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
