Lennie “Len” Jo (Hanks) Gano, 74, was called home to her Lord and Savior Friday July 8, 2022, in McLennan County. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Waco, followed by a visitation with family until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 14, at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 9820 Chapel Rd, Waco at 10:00 am., with Fr. James Ekeocha as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Len was born in Harris County, TX on May 28, 1948, to Norma Jean and Elnore Hanks.
Len was known as an outgoing person who never met a stranger. Her loves in her life were her family, friends, and church. She will be truly missed by her children and family.
Len was preceded in death by her parents; brother Rodney Hanks; husband Rich Gano; son Jeffery Wessinger; and daughter-in-law Linda Wessinger.
Survivors include her daughters, Beth and husband, Rodney Conklin, Jaime and husband, Victor Kuykendoll; sons, Rusty and wife, Karen Wessinger, John and wife, Lori Wessinger; step-son, Rich and wife, Robyn Gano; grand-children Joanna, Jennifer, Tyler, Rusty Jr., Nicole, Kaci, Kayla and Makena; great grand-children Karson, Kynsie, and Ava.
