Larry Uptmore

Lawrence “Larry” Wayne Uptmore 59, of Waco, passed away at his home Sunday, August 11, 2013. Services will be 10 am Friday, August 16, 2013 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. Burial will follow at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Tours, TX. A Rosary will be recited Thursday from 6-7 pm and a visitation will be from 7-8 at the funeral home. Larry was born June 19, 1954 in Waco, TX to Virgil and Alma Engelke Uptmore. He was a graduate of University High School and served as an altar boy at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. Larry worked in the auto parts business most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fixing their cars when needed. He passed the time by fishing, hunting, and collecting rocks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Uptmore Sr.; sister, Terry Uptmore Maricle; brother-in-law and best friend, Ricky Lykins.
He is survived by son, Dustin Uptmore and wife Mary; daughter, Crystal Uptmore; grandchildren, Kayla and Caleb; mother, Alma Uptmore; sisters, Patricia Lykins and Pam Uptmore; brothers, Mike Uptmore and wife JoAnn and Virgil Uptmore Jr. and wife Madeline; former wife’s, Tina, Glenda, and Reba , numerous relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be, Virgil Uptmore III, Joshua Lykins, Don Laseter, Justin Stead, Ryan Uptmore, James Haigood, Brandon and Dylan Hubik .
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Matthew Teichelmann , Steven Hubik and Shannon Maricle.
