Larry Charles Sharp, 77, of Robinson, TX passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 17, 2021. Larry was born August 1, 1943 in Waco, Texas to George and Gail Sharp. He played football and graduated from Lorena High School in 1961. He went to San Angelo Junior College until he moved back to Waco and married the first love of his life, Alice Merrill Adams. They raised two children, Scott and Allison Sharp. In 1998, a year after Alice passed, Larry married the second love of his life, Linda Bland Christensen.
Larry loved spending time with his family and going to birthday dinners with his five siblings. He also loved everything outdoors from coaching Little League baseball, hunting and fishing, and especially going to rodeos. He spent many hours behind the wheel taking kids to participate and even help produce and judge rodeos all over the state.
He was preceded in death by his father, George; mother, Gail; wife, Alice; and sister, Minnie Mae (Sis) Whyburn.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Scott Sharp and wife Jennifer, Allison Pace and husband Dwayne. He is also survived by his step-children, Tate Christensen and wife Misty, Traci McCormick and husband Khaun, and Todd Christensen and wife Julie. His brothers and sisters, John, Jimmy, Erma, and Louise; along with ten grandchildren and spouses, (Loren and Jarred Johnson, Brittany Pace, Tyler and Tori Christensen, DJ and Makenzy McCormick, Austin and Jennifer Pace, Sydney Christensen, Cayden Sharp, Larissa Pace, Brayden Christensen, and Riley Christensen), seven great-grandchildren (Hunter, Nia, JD, Allie, Brinley, Jojo, Kenzleigh), and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, Texas on Sunday, May 23rd from 3:00-5:00pm. Graveside service will be held at Waco Memorial Park on Monday, May 24th at 10:00am.
