Larry Maxey

October 3, 1945 — December 14, 2009

Larry Jack Maxey 64, of Chilton went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday December 14, 2009. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, December 16, at First Baptist Church of Chilton with Rev. Darryle Dunks and Jeter Basden officiating. Burial will follow at Chilton Cemetery. The Family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Larry was born October 3, 1945 in Marlin Tx, to Jack and Dorothy Maxey. Larry was a graduate of Chilton High School, Temple Jr. College, and received a BA Degree from Baylor University. He retired from the State of Texas as a Medicaid Eligibility Worker, with 20 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chilton where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was a member of the Chilton Volunteer Fire Department, Chilton & King Solomon Masonic Lodge, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Chilton Cemetery Association, and Sons Of The Confederate Veterans. Larry was an avid Baylor Bear Supporter, and a member of the Baylor Alumni Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Maxey; daughter Lori Michell and husband Scott; 4 grandchildren Brian, Jack, Mark, and Mary; brother James Maxey and wife Sharon; Nieces Rachael Bosse and Rebecca Maxey; aunt and uncle Ruth Ann and Herbert Purczinsky; and wonderful friends and extended family.
