Larry Johnson

Larry Alan Johnson, 70, of Dallas TX died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Dallas. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015 with Rev Patrick Richardson presiding, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. Waco, TX 76706.

Larry was born September 15, 1945 in Dallas to Bernadine (Vermillion) and L. A. Johnson. He was a retired IT Professional that had spent many years in the financial industry all across the country and later started Trutime Inc., an IT company dealing with logistics. He attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX with studies in Data Processing and Computer Programming. Larry was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Bernadine McBride, father, L. A. Johnson, sister, Barbara Johnson Mote, and step-father Oren McBride.

Survivors include his son: Doug Johnson of Katy TX, sister, Nova Thomson of Uhland TX, brother, Warner McBride and wife Leslie of Robinson TX, brother-in-law Wells Mote of Decatur TX and Nina Milligan of Katy TX, the mother of his son Doug and grandmother to his beloved grandsons, Cody & Lane Johnson of Katy TX. Cody and Lane are past and present Katy Tigers football players. Larry shared the love of football with his son and grandsons.
