Lana Marie Murphy

Lana Marie Murphy, 68, of Robinson, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at home. A celebration of life service will take place at Pecan Grove Funeral Home on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8.p.m.

Lana was born in Cooperstown, North Dakota to James and Donnie Burgard. She spent over 25 years as an general manager at various hotels in Waco, Texas where she was well known for her dedication to both her guests and staff. Always quick with a joke, smile, or kind word, Lana truly lived a selfless life - treating everyone she met like family and placing their needs before her own.

Lana was preceded in death by her son: Nick Ebertz and brother: Jim Burgard. She is survived by her loving family, her husband, John Murphy; sister, Rae Smith (Doug); children, Dawn Stokes (Ryan), Alyssa Binder (Matt), Dominic Ebertz (Missy), Jim Murphy (Melissa), Jon Murphy; grandchildren, Wade, Hana, Ryan, Kody, Gage, Brock, Trey, Max, Nicholas, Phillip, Kali, Shayla, Dominic Jr; and great-grandchildren, Adriana and A’melio.

Lana will be remembered for her compassion, enjoyment of music, good natured pranks, and above all else, the love for her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, who Lana donated to for many years.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the celebration of Lana's life. In tribute to her radiant spirit, guests are encouraged to wear bright colors that reflect the joy and warmth she shared with all who knew her.
