Kevin Rash, 44, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 26, 2015. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, at Robinson Cemetery with Chris Wommack officiating. Visitation will be 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Kevin was born in Great Falls, Montana. He graduated from Midway High School where he was actively involved in the band and music programs. Kevin was a kind-hearted soul who loved his family, friends, and pets. He was full of compassion, had a grateful heart, and generous to those in need. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed. Kevin’s passion was flying small aircrafts and one of his happiest days was when he received his private pilot license. He was employed at Financial Control Services where he has worked for over twenty years in various positions.
Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, G.V. Vestal and Mary Vestal; paternal grandparents, Wallace Rash and Jean Trent; and Wyman and Maxine Patterson.
Kevin is survived by those who loved him very much; his parents, Mike and Brenda Rash of Woodway; Ronnie and Geneva Patterson of Placerville, California; sisters, Courtney Tischendorf and husband Mark of Fort Worth, Kristen Griffin of Waco; nieces, Tatum and Teya; nephews, Hudson and Truett; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kevin is also survived by his dearest friends, Guy McCullough, Deana Stroud, and Susan Aggson.
Pallbearers will be Guy McCullough, Scott Vestal, Todd Vestal,Rodger Griffin, Jeff Davis, and Mark Tischendorf. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews; Hudson and Truett, and Freddy Vestal
Although the Lord called him home before we were ready, we can find refuge in knowing he is back where he belongs, with his eternal Father in Heaven.
Memorials may be made in Kevin’s name to Fuzzy Friends, 6321 Airport Road, Waco, TX, 76708, or any homeless shelter. He would be honored in knowing you gave to someone in need in his name.
