Kenneth Wayne Hoenig, 59, of Hewitt, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones. The service will be 11am Monday September 30, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Dr. Randy Hughes officiating. A private family burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 10am at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born on March 7, 1960 in Waco, Texas to Earl Eugene and Juanita Evelyn (Tracy) Hoenig at Hillcrest. Kenneth was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, with First Baptist Church Woodway being his second church home. He was loved dearly by both his church families. Kenneth taught us how to love unconditionally, how to show compassion, and how to trust with a child-like faith that Jesus will carry us through life’s obstacles. He was a beloved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his father Earl and mother Nita.
Kenneth is survived by his sisters, Brenda Kaye Herrmann and husband Gerald, of Brenham, and Rhonda Lynne Jones and husband Robbie, of Hewitt; nephew, Kyle Adam Herrmann and wife Kati, of Brenham; three nieces, Leigh Ann Herrmann, of Hunstville, Tracey Lynne, and Kristen Renae Jones, of Hewitt; two great-nephews, Karson and William Herrmann; Kenny’s favorite “angels” : Sandy, Monica, Kurt, Mary, Lauren, Mary Jane, Virginia, and Jeanne and all of the special “angels” at Royal Manor that cared for and loved him deeply.
