Kenneth Cotharn of Robinson passed away June 6, 2017. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 10, 2017, at Robinson Cemetery. There will be an opportunity for friends to view and sign the guest book between 9:00 and 10:00 A.M. Saturday, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive.
Kenneth was born in Franklin, Texas to Austin and Lutie Nelson Cotharn. Kenneth graduated from Waco Technical High School in 1950. He served two years in the armed forces and retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service.
In 1952, Kenneth married Billie Joyce Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years; a brother, Vachel Cotharn and a sister Gay Nell Wilson; daughters, Debbie Schwartinsky, Rhonda Gilham and husband Mark, Lisa Fowler and husband Gary, Kenny Beth VanMeter and Kerry Lashombe and husband Mike; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his six grandsons, Craig, Dusty and Tyler Schwartinsky, Christopher and Cody Gilham and Lucas Fowler.
The family extends a very special thanks to Dr. Rodney Brown, Dr. Karl Trippe and those who assisted Kenneth at Providence Hospital and St. Catherine’s Hospice Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kenneth’s name to Donny VanMeter Scholarship Fund, PO Box 11084, Robinson, TX, 76716-1084.
