Kenneth Wayne Bolden, 64, of Riesel, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, after a year-long journey with cancer. Celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor David Cozart officiating. There will be a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at the funeral home.
Kenny Wayne was born March 23, 1959 to Kenneth Howell Bolden and Ethel Marie Marshall in San Antonio, Texas. Kenny Wayne worked in manufacturing at Howmet for 36 years until his recent retirement in 2022. He was known to be a sweet man and a good friend to all. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, spending time in his shop and outside, and racing. He loved to go drag racing and watch racing of all kinds. Kenny Wayne’s favorite thing was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and David Marshall, Kenneth and Leta Bolden; sister, Karla Freedman; and brother, Brian (Bubba) Bolden.
Kenny Wayne is survived by his wife, Suzette (Sue) Bolden; son, Jeremy Bolden; daughter, Ashley Crawford and husband Jon; daughter, Candace Kato and husband Jesse; grandchildren, Khara, Madyson, Tillman, and Annaleigh; nephews, Anthony Simcik and Blaine Simcik and wife Ally; step-children, Teven Bowen, RickeyJay Popham, Katryna Smith, Courtney Sorrentino, and Jaycie Popham; along with several other nieces and nephews; sisters, Karen Gossett and Kristi Hughes; brothers, Neal Freedman and Blake Freedman; and many loving friends.
Kenny faced his cancer journey with strength and courage. Even though he was taken too soon, Kenny lived a wonderful life surrounded by many people who loved and adored him.
