Kathryn Jo Hall, 81, of Waco, passed away peacefully at a local hospital on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Graveside services will be 11am, Thursday, October 17, at Waco Memorial Park with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10am at the cemetery.
She was born January 31, 1943 to Martha Louise (Holder) and Robert Eldridge Thompson; sadly she was their only child because he was tragically killed in action April 4, 1945 in Okinawa, Japan. She grew up in Waco and attended Waco schools.
Kathryn always had a fondness for animals, especially dogs. She had several pets throughout the years that gave her companionship and joy. She was a very kind hearted and giving person, always thinking of others. She was affectionately called “JoJo” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Thompson, her mother Louise Buchanan, and her step-father Doyle Buchanan.
Kathryn is survived by her children Lori Alambar (Buck), Michael Hall, Kristie Vasquez (Mickey); grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Keith, Sheyene, Tye, Hunter, Tate, Blake, Bryce, Brooklyn, and Jacob; and numerous great-grandchildren, and extended family.
