Katherine Merle Makovy Feb. 5, 1929---May 28, 2014
Merle Makovy,85, of Waco passed away Wednesday, May 28, at her residence. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31 at Rosemound cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Pecan Grove F.H. 3124 Robinson.
Dr. Merle was born Feb. 5, 1929 in Waco to Otis and Doris McCune.
On Sept. 8, 1947 she married Alvin “Binky” Makovy Sr. Merle worked for 30 years at the Glass Plant in Waco. She loved her plants, yard and loved to make people laugh.
Merle is preceded in death by parents, husband Alvin “Binky” Makovy Sr. and 2 sons; David and Alvin “Binky” Makovy Jr. She is survived by sister; Camille Williams, grandchildren Allison Marie Noles and husband Jerry; Brandon Alan and Douglas Brian Makovy. 5 Great-Grandchildren.
