June Morgan

Billie June Morgan, 86, of Woodway, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, October 25, 2014. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott, TX. The family will receive visitors 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morgan was a native Texan, born January 25, 1928, in Lott, Texas to E.F. and Ossie Huffines. She lived a great portion of her life in southern California in the 50’s and 60’s working for American Airlines in San Diego, where she met her husband, Ray Morgan. Relocating to Houston in the 70’s, June worked as a realtor and eventually moved back to Waco in the 90’s where she and her husband Ray, of over 60 years, retired. She is remembered for her caring and compassion for other people and was noted for her sweet, sweet spirit. She loved family gatherings and was one of the best cooks a family could ask for. June will be missed.
June was preceded in death by her parents, E. F. and Ossie Huffines, and her sister, Margaret Haynes. Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Ray Morgan; her two sons, Raymond Morgan and his wife Tami, and Clay Morgan and his wife Kelly; step daughter Dawn Duckett and her husband Gary; eight grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
