June Johnson

June Mary Johnson, age 89, of Robinson peacefully passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 surrounded by her family at her home. Celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 3 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service starting at 10:00 a.m.

June was born June 4, 1933 in Oxford, England to Harry and Ada Parker. She met Robert C. Johnson when he was stationed near London, they married on Nov. 27, 1953. Together they came to Texas in 1954. On May 4, 1959, she became a naturalized citizen of the United States. June and Robert resided in Robinson, Texas. Together they had two children, Kenneth Johnson and Linda Johnson Ringo. June spent her career in retail. She enjoyed working in different places in Waco, retiring in 1999 from Dillard’s. She was a longtime member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Robinson.

June was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Ada Parker; and husband, Robert C. Johnson.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Ringo and husband Kent; son, Kenneth Johnson and wife April; four grandchildren, Robert Ringo (Brittany), Ryan Ringo (Amanda), Julie Tew (Jay), Sunny Stephens (Chris); along with ten wonderful great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. June’s greatest joy was her family!
