Juanita Wilkins

Juanita Wilkins went home to Jesus her Savior on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 28 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastors Marcelo Oliveira and Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Rosemound Cemetery. There will be a visitation one hour prior beginning at 10 a.m.

Juanita was born January 24, 1926, to George and Mendina Wooten in Fort Worth Texas. She became a member of Emanual Baptist Church as a child when Rev. Maynard was the pastor.

Juanita married her sweetheart George Wilkins in November 1944. Juanita and George were married for 76 years. Juanita is survived by daughter, Susan Bruff and husband Barry; her grandchildren, Deanna Adams, Scott Mills and wife Betsy, Anthony Mills and wife Janette, Andrew Bruff and wife Allyson, Daniel Bruff, Tricia Cox, Kelly Watts, Eric Riggle and Stephanie Cobb. Juanita’s many great-grandchildren, Kiera Adams, Garrett and Katy Mills, Noah and wife Mackenzie Mills, Mari and husband Brody DeBard, Luke Mills, Athena Mills, David Mills, Mark Mills, Shannon Mills, Asher Bruff and Aubrey Bruff. Juanita also has three great-great grandchildren, Wesley, Suny, and baby girl yet to come Mills.

She was preceded in death by her husband George, and daughter Anita and husband George Riggle, four brothers James, Robert, Cecil, Doil, and one sister Geneva.

Juanita loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, spending time with her children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
