Juanita Kasper

Juanita Glenn Kasper (Nena), born on October 7, 1931, died on September 16, 2022, at the age of 90. Her faith has become sight. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Dr., Waco, TX 76706. Services will begin at 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Duane Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park for immediate family members only.

Juanita was a twin sister to her brother Chester. She grew up in Quanah, Texas, with her parents, Ina and Lester Ingram, and her other brothers, Kenneth and Jerry. Juanita loved her hometown of Quanah and took her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to her annual family reunion. She often shared stories about her childhood days as a farm girl and took pride in purchasing her own family farm in Axtell, TX, when she married Edward Joseph Kasper (E.J.) in 1972.

Juanita loved her church, Williams Creek Baptist. She was one of the founding members and spent her life teaching and serving. She provided a ride to anyone who wanted to attend church and required that every grandchild sing at least once on a Sunday morning.

Juanita had a servant’s heart. She and E.J. spent many years volunteering for Friends for Life. She had the gift of hospitality and cooked many meals for family and friends. She took pride in her garden, her home, her faith, and her family. She loved being Aunt Nita to her nephews and nieces. Of the many things Juanita loved about life, she loved most her role as Nena. With eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, she lived a life full of joy. She loved well and was so well loved.

Juanita is survived by her husband, E.J. Kasper; son, Donnie Tidmore and wife Shirley; and her many loving grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Tidmore.

Juanita requested that memorial donations be made to Friends for Life, Care Net Pregnancy Center, and Williams Creek Baptist Church.
