Juanita was born on June 22, 1921 to Walter and Gertrude Niswanger in Farrar, Texas. She married Marvin Dolezel in March 1937. Juanita loved caring for children, spending many years in childcare in and out of her home. She also spent time working at Montgomery Ward, Woolco, and Hillcrest Hospital. If anyone was in need either of food or a place to stay, she welcomed them in her home. She was a neighbor who would help, either by drinking coffee with one or by taking care of one who died of cancer. She had quite a sweet tooth and hospitality was one of her greatest talents. Juanita loved to shop and spent all year buying Christmas for her grandchildren. Everyone was thrilled with Christmas time at Granny’s house.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Gertrude; husband, Marvin; daughter, Bettie Meadors; son-in-law, Calvin “Bo” Meadors; brothers, William and Ira Niswanger; and sisters, Lura Pacheo and June Wharton.
Juanita is survived by her son, Johnnie Dolezel and wife Judy; grandchildren, Steve Dolezel and wife Jennifer, Lance Dolezel, Clint Dolezel and wife Kris, Don Meadors and wife Trish, Joe Meadors and wife Olga; great-grandchildren, Sky and wife Kelsey, Summer, Molly, and Trevor Dolezel, Shannon, Michael, and Jill Meadors; sister, Faye Cox; along with a large extended family.
