Juanita Cassell

Juanita Ann (Jordy) Cassell went to be with the Lord Thursday June 8, 2023. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday June 13, 2023 at Woodway First United Methodist Church (21000 Woodway Dr, Woodway, TX 76712) with Pastor Bryan Patrick officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 1P.M. A private family burial will follow the service.

Juanita was born September 8, 1948 in Guthrie, OK to Orville and Hazel Jordy. Among her many talents and accomplishments, her greatest loves were her Lord and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Jordy; mother, Hazel Turner; daughter, Julie Bradford and sister Peggy Hoyle.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: husband, Michael N. Cassell; son, Gary Shaeffer and wife Bonnie of McGregor, TX. son, Jimmy Shaeffer and wife Claudia of Portland, TX., son, Scott Shaeffer of Waco, TX. son, Billy Shaeffer and wife Deborah of Troy, TX., 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; her brothers; Orvie Jordy and wife Karen of Oregon; Claude Jordy and wife Darla of Alabama.

The family requests donations be made to the Woodway First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers
