Joyce Stocks

Joyce Ann Stocks, 57, of Robinson, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00pm Thursday, February 8th at Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, February 7th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson.

Joyce was born December 19, 1966 in Waco, Texas. She was the daughter of Linda Ekvall Cobbs and the only father she ever knew, Billy Cobbs. She married the love of her life, Phillip Stocks, on January 1, 2000, in Waco, Texas.

She was proud of her accomplishments which include becoming a licensed barber at the age of 17. She later attended McLennan Community College where she received her degree as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She worked as a counselor for several years but returned to her passion as a barber. She worked for Roger Davis at Roger’s Barbershop for many years in Robinson and Mart Texas. She made many friends and gained an impressive client following. She had several barbershops of her own over the years, but most recently owned and operated Community Barbershop in Robinson.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and kayaking on the Brazos River with family. She loved animals, especially horses, but above all she loved and cared for her family. She was a natural caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her PawPaw, B.J. (Benny) Ekvall, her Nana, Dorothy Ekvall, and her Dad, Billy Cobbs.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Stocks, her sons, Brandon Butts; Justin Stocks and wife Jessica; three grandsons, Noah Dillon-Stocks, Jonah Stocks, and Kyle Stocks, and her mother, Linda Cobbs.
