Jose Jimenez

March 25, 1935 — January 8, 2020

Jose Luis Jimenez, 84, peacefully passed away on January 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Cededonio Jimenez and wife. He was born in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico on March 25, 1935. He lived his life in Waco, TX. He was a loving husband of Esperanza Jimenez and they shared 62 years of marriage together. He worked as a dairy farmer in China Spring for many years and then retired from Fleetwood after working there for over 20 years.
He belonged to First Spanish Assembly of God Church in Waco, TX for 41 years. For many years he was an usher and was a faithful servant to the church. He enjoyed being a part of the church and attending church events. In his down time he enjoyed watching wrestling shows and old western movies. Once he was retired he would get pleasure out of going for long drives in the country with his wife (Esperanza) and taking her out to eat. He is remembered for being at his grandkids and great grandkids sports games. He enjoyed being outdoors and was a jokester to all he came into contact with. One thing we can say is he was known to always have his cowboy hat and boots.
He is survived by his wife Esperanza Jimenez and seven children: Robert Sedillo, wife Toni, Amelia Gonzalez, husband Manuel, John Sedillo, wife Alba, Dora Martinez, husband Adam, Joe Jimenez Jr, wife Gloria, Mary Jane Jimenez, Mary Ann Guerrero, husband David, 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Guerrero, Rene Medina, John Sedillo, Adam Martinez, Jr.,Estevan Trejo, Jr., Jeremiah Jimenez, Israel Sedillo, and Adam Martinez, III. Honorary Bearer will be Robert Sedillo, Jr.
