Jonnie Woods

Jonnie Helen Woods went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, November 17, 2016. Services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. with Dr. Ralph Rummage officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas. The family will receive visitors, Friday November 18th from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Jonnie Helen Woods was born in Beaumont, Texas, December 4, 1928.
Helen spent most of her life in Waco, Texas and was married to William J. Woods, Jr. Together they raised four children. She enjoyed attending her Columbus Avenue Baptist Church Sunday School Class and in later years devotedly watching Columbus’ televised Sunday Church Service. She was an avid gardener, and dearly loved the many pet dogs that were in her life.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband William J. Woods, Jr., her sisters, Addie Fay Brazier, and Wanda Lee Browder, and her brothers Billy Charles Crump. She is survived by her brother, Coleman Lee Crump, Jr., daughters, Polly A. Hedrick, and husband Bob Hedrick, Jackie S. Weaver, Nancy G. Depoy, and husband Bill Depoy, and son, William J. Woods, III, and wife Carolyn A. Woods. Helen was a devoted Grandmother to her 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and grea-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church Sunday School’s Flower Fund, Waco, Texas.
