Johnny Lynn Williams, 67, of Waco, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at his home. Johnny was born October 16, 1953 to George H. Williams and Mamie Smith in Waco. He spent much of his life as a resident of Waco, having attended school at University through the 9th grade and then Richfield High. He worked many years at American Solar King in Waco, and later at Davis Iron Works in Hewitt. To quote a line from the movie Braveheart, “Every Man Dies, Not Every Man Really Lives”. Johnny really lived. He lived for the good times with his friends at the lake, vacationing at his favorite place Port Aransas, seeing such legendary bands as Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Joe Bonamassa live in concert many times, shooting pool at Clicks, and most of all he lived for the love of his life Jennifer. His absence will undoubtedly leave a void in the lives of many.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jennifer; his parents George H. Williams, Mamie & Jim Leftwich; and his beloved cat Anna.
Johnny is survived by his son Chris Williams and fiancé Angela of Robinson; his son Charlie Moore and wife Kim of Fort Worth; sister Deborah Deaton of Hewitt; sister Terry Carrier and husband Steve of Robinson; sister Judy Williams-Karcher of Waco; nephew John “Scooter” Parker of Hewitt; nephew Stephen Duncan and wife Candace of Waco; niece Jennifer Muns and husband Chris of Robinson; niece Samantha Williams-Karcher of Waco; nephew Brad Carrier and Hailey of Robinson; and numerous great-nieces & nephews. Special thank you to Baylor Scott & White McClinton Cancer Center, Bluebonnet Health Services, and Deborah Deaton for his care.
