Johnny Russell Roberts

Johnny Russell (J.R.) Roberts, 66, of Lorena, TX, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 13, at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 S 12th St, Waco, TX, with Pastor Wayne Williams officiating. Visitation will be prior to the graveside, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, TX.

Johnny was born in Waco, TX, to Hollie Leland and Dorris (Mostyn) Roberts. Johnny was always the life of the party. His family was everything to him and he was always more concerned about them than with himself. He loved cars from a young age and enjoyed going on rides with his brother and his nephew. He was also a big fan of Baylor sports. 

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jimmy Roberts, and sister, Kay Hudson. 

He is survived by his nephew, Jimmy Roberts, Jr. and wife Bailey; niece Ember, nephews, Waylon and Leland; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Roberts; along with other family and friends.
