John White

J.W. White, 93, of Bellmead, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home. Graveside services will be at 1:30pm on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum, 6623 Interstate 35 South, Waco. Interment will immediately follow. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm on Thursday, November 12 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.
J.W. was born on January 16, 1922 to James and Onie White in Waco. He married Frances Smith on June 15, 1946 in Waco. J.W. was an avid horseman, being a member and president of the Waco Longhorn Club for more than 20 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Onie White; three brothers; one sister; and a son, Darrell Wayne White.
J.W. is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Frances; daughter, Vicki Lynn Pierce; grandson, Shawn Pierce and wife, Lisa; great-grandchildren, Hallie and Hagan; foster children, Sonia Olivo and Tonia Markum; foster grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Taylor, and Tabitha; foster great-grandchildren, Joseph, Holton, Jaylon, and Addison; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
