John Thomas Kubala, 56 of Lorena passed away at his home Monday, June 3, 2013. There are no services scheduled at this time.
John was born March 25, 1957 to Eddy and Josephine Bedzek Kubala. He lived and graduated from West High School in 1975. He went to TSTI trade School for 2 years. John worked at KD Manitou for 16 years, Iron Horse Iron Works for 17 years, as a welder and head maintenance man, Lorena ISD, driving a school bus, and volunteered every chance he got to help someone at the school.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddy Kubala; sister, Mary Jo Lawson.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine Kubala; fiancé, Peggy Clark; brothers, George and wife Shirley, James and wife Carla, Edward and wife Helen, and Mark Kubala and wife Edith; sisters, Fran Matus, Joan Tipton, and Jo Polansky and husband Billy; children, Scott and wife April and Sarah Kubala; step-children, Tabitha Hugghins and husband Dan, and Elisha Lorenz and husband Mike; grandchildren, Thomas and Clara Kubala; step-grandchildren, Billy, Steven and Rebekah Hugghins, and Lane and Amy Lorenz. Special friends, Nancy Wood, Peggy, Junior, and Connie (Sis) Easterling, and Becky and Bobby Musick.
