JoAnn (Breitkreutz) McMillan, 81, Hewitt, Texas (formerly of Robinson, Texas) passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. A graveside memorial will be held at Kirk Cemetery at a later date.
JoAnn was born on November 21, 1942, to Henry and Inez Breitkreutz in Leroy, Texas. Her childhood in Mart, Texas where she graduated from Mart High, was a member of the marching band and a majorette. She married Clarence McMillan Jr., on March 25, 1960. JoAnn was a stay-at-home mom when her children were young and after her children were older, she worked as a teacher’s aide for 10 years at Robinson Elementary. She also worked for Baylor University from 1985-2014 as an office administrator for student admissions. JoAnn was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She loved holidays with her family, especially Christmas, was an avid reader and a huge dog lover.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Inez Breitkreutz; and her son, Mark McMillan.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Clarence McMillan Jr; son, Michael McMillan and wife Teresa; daughters, Michelle McMillan; Malissa Cellars and husband Andy; grandchildren, Brittny Burow and husband Nathan; Chance Miller and wife Lauren; Chandler Lovelady and husband Greg; Cayson Miller and fiancé Casey; great-grandchildren Kaiden, Cooper, Kinsley and Brooks; brother, Henry “Junior” Breitkreutz Jr. and wife Kathy; sister, Barbara Pavelka and husband Gene Edward; along with nine nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Stoney Brook of Hewitt Memory Care and Wesley Woods Rehabilitation and Healthcare for the loving care of JoAnn.
