Jo Ann Champion, 76, of Robinson passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with Pastor David Cozart officiating. Entombment will immediately follow at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 14 at the funeral home.
Jo Ann was born June 6, 1944 to Earl and Daisy (Wilson) Harris in Waco, Texas. She married Edward Champion October 19, 1965 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Jo Ann enjoyed trips to Vegas, Elvis Presley and country music. She loved the color red and anything that sparkles. Jo Ann could light up a room and was the “sparkle” everywhere she went. Her greatest treasure was her family. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Daisy Harris; brother, Larry “Bubba” Harris; grandson, James Cook Jr.; along with her Aunt Ruth and Uncle Buddy.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Edward Champion; daughters, Tammy Cook and husband James, Sandy Gustafson and life partner Linda Biddy, Christine Falcone; granddaughters, Amber Feliciano and husband James, Carrie Horn, Cindy Cook, Daisy Hensley and husband Richard; grandsons, Edward Duke and wife Mallory, James Mickles and wife Kyndal; great-grandchildren, Kady, Tyler, Hannah, Devin, Cameron, Kali, Ryder, Tristynn, Ian, Rowan, Jimmy Jr., Madixx, Joshua, Caleb, Aryana, Xavier and Athan; brother, Bobby Harris; aunts, Wimpy Davis, Mary Wilson; sister-in-law, Rita Harris; best friend, Janette Flanary; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
