Jimmie Ivicic Light (Granny), 93, of Waco, passed away early Monday morning, November 6, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 11th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home Waco, TX, with Rev Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Friday, November 10, at the funeral home.
Jimmie was born September 9th, 1930, in McGregor TX. She was the daughter of John & Jennie (Whitley) Jackson. She attended schools in Waco. Jimmie was united in marriage to Donald (Buck) Light. She worked for Owens Illinois (Glass plant) for 40 years. Jimmie enjoyed dancing, sewing, playing bingo, shopping, getting pampered, watching The Price Is Right, and of course riding around as Miss Daisy with her daughter and spending time with her family and her grandkids.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, late husband Rudy G Ivicic (Buddy), and her son Melvin Edward Moore (Butch); her siblings, Sonny Jackson, Johnnie Jackson (Buddy), Charlie Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Hazel Cline, Neoma Nelson, Patsy Henrickson & Helen Ratcliff.
Survivors include her husband Donald Light (Buck), sister Judy Ann Garney, husband Don; daughter Debbie Latham, husband Joe; stepdaughters Sue Collins, Teresa Drahn, husband E.L., Stacie Berry, husband Jimmie, and Amber Light; stepsons, Mark Ivicic, wife Krystal, Bryan Light, wife Brenda, Brent Light, wife Robin; grandchildren, Lana Honey, husband Tommy, Trisha Barfield, fiancé Brad Price, Elesa Parker, husband Eric, Markie Ivicic, Nicole Matheny, husband Tyler, Amy Collins, Colton Collins, fiancé April and April Williams; three step granddaughters, Desiree Olson, husband Jeff, Krystin Norman, husband Joshua, and Stephanie Latham. She is also survived by 20 great-grandkids, Kaylee King, husband Jake, Kenzi Schnizer, Kinley Schnizer, Kylie Honey, Skylar Sherman, Kaleigh Settles, Sad’ie Settles, Hannah Partida, Sydney and Lane Norman, Chance Powell, Ariah DeBose, Ellie Parker, Eli Parker, Wyatt Macias, Landyn Ivicic, River Matheny, Carter Matheny and Jack Matheny; and her three great-great grandkids, Blaze Shilling, Jace King, and Hadley King.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Honey, Brad Price, Colton Collins, Jake King, Darren Gassaway, and Casen Mahan.
Jimmie was a wonderful mother, granny and friend who will be missed by all.
