Jimmie Dean Bell, 93, of Waco, TX, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
Jimmie was the beloved daughter of James and Eliza Wilcox. She attended Moody High School, where she graduated with fond memories and lifelong friendships. On February 13, 1951, Jimmie exchanged vows with her beloved husband, Herman Thomas Bell, Sr. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three children: Anna Bell Holt, Debora Sue Looney, and Herman Thomas Bell, Jr. Jimmie and Herman shared 66 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2017.
Jimmie was a devoted wife and mother, whose love and care knew no bounds. She was a dedicated partner to Herman, supporting him in various ventures including Herman Bell Insurance Agency, Surety National Finance, and Treasure City Flea Market. Jimmie also showcased her work ethic and commitment to excellence as a warehouse receiving clerk at Career Girl.
One of Jimmie's most treasured roles was keeping the books for the Treasure City Flea Market. It gave her great pride. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, Wheel of Fortune, and a few certain news channels. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always keeping tabs on them and their activities. No matter the case.
Jimmie Dean Bell will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her hard work, and her kind spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and grace that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Jimmie is survived by her two daughters, Anna Bell Holt and Debora Sue Looney; one son, Herman T. Bell Jr. and his wife Kathy, all of Waco. She is also survived by her five grandsons: Brandon Reinke and his wife Jeanna, Donald Holt, Jr., Kevin Holt and his fiancé Carla, Herman T. Bell, III, and Travis Looney; two granddaughters: Melissa Sullivan and her husband Chase, and Heather Toliver and her husband Scott; seven great-granddaughters: Ciara Holt, Tatum Holt, Addyson Holt, Davin Reinke, Mckenzie Bell, Bella Sullivan, and Millie Bell; five great-grandsons: Brayden Sullivan, Judge Looney, Wyatt, Walker, and Westyn Toliver; along with other loving family members and Treasure City friends.
