Jesse Moon

Jesse Lee Moon Jr. of Beverly Hills, Texas died peacefully on September 23, 2023. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 2 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Pastor Michael Page officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, October 1 at the funeral home.

Jesse was born September 17, 1928 to Jesse and Emma Moon in Wortham, Texas. He married the love of his life Blanche Bailey in 1947. Everyone he met knew his life stories. He was hard working with various jobs, such as a shoeshine boy, the dry cleaners, General Tire for 30 years until his retirement, and then worked on his rental property. Jesse enjoyed sitting on his patio, repairing lawnmowers, his Firebird car, racecars, and going on cruises.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Blanche Bailey; sisters, Peggy Moon, Dorothy Page; brothers, Jimmy Earl, Billy, Joe, and Tommy Moon.

Jesse is survived by his son, Glen Moon; daughter, Brenda McWhorter and husband Keith; grandchildren, Heather Anderson and husband Clark, Ryan McWhorter, Travis McWhorter and wife Laura, Brady McWhorter and wife Anna; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Jedidiah, Levi, and Eden; sisters, Barbara Butler and Susie Moon; brothers, Johnny Moon and wife Barbara and James Moon; sisters-in-law, Peggy Moon and Carmen Moon; along with many other relatives and friends.
