Jerry "Wilson" Wilson

February 21, 1940 — November 16, 2023

Jerry Bruner Wilson, 83, (CB Handle-40 Dollar Hog) was called home to be with the Lord on November 16, 2023. He was born on February 21, 1940, in Waco to Charles and Vertis Wilson. Jerry graduated from Waco High and was also elected “Mayor for the Day” around that time. He was a veteran of the Airforce Reserves, later married, and had two daughters, Stacey & Shelley.
Jerry spent most of his career in the soda industry, starting at the bottom with Dr. Pepper and working his way up to upper management over the course of 28 years. He then switched gears a little and went to Coca-Cola where he retired after 15 sparkling years. To keep busy in retirement, he also worked part time at Automatic Chef for a while and loved blaring music while he enjoyed a cold drink on the back patio every afternoon.
In 1990, Jerry met the love of his life Brenda, where he also gained three more daughters, Tammie, Tracy, and Tonya. Jerry and Brenda embarked on countless adventures on the lake with their boat (J&B Just Add Water) and loved to travel to new places. They also enjoyed offshore fishing, cruises, dancing, watching Baylor sports, and going to casinos with some of their very close friends Jack and Patsy Wake as well as many others too numerous to name.
Jerry loved spending time with all his friends and family. He is survived by his wife Brenda, 5 daughters- Stacey Nickel of Seabrook, Brad & Shelley Crye of Robinson, Bill & Tammie Walters of Hewitt, Tracy Miller of Robinson, Adam & Tonya Butler of Castroville, and one special daughter by choice- Laurie Talley French of Waco; 6 grandchildren- Matt & Ashley Kirkland, Austin & Sarah Crye, Kevin Walters, Tyler & Emma Crye, Skylea Nickel, and Trenton Nickel; 2 great-grandchildren- Eleck & Emorie; and his brother Ronnie Wilson.
He is preceded in death by Mother, and Father Vertis and Charles Wilson, son-in-law Todd Nickel, and sister-in-law Dot Wilson.
Special Thanks to Community Healthcare of Texas for all their care and special thanks to Carolyn Richards for all the love and help she showed onto him.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in his Memory to Fuzzy Friends or Humane Society of Central Texas.
