Jerry L. McKethan, 75, of Robinson passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Waco. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20 at Robinson Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Pecan Grove F.H. 3124 Robinson Dr.
Jerry was born on January 27, 1939 in Brownsboro, Texas and grew up in South Bosque. He attended Lorena High School, where he met the love of his life, Ruth Sandifer. They were married at First Baptist Church in Robinson on June 7, 1958.

Anyone who met him would quickly learn about his family especially his four “perfect” grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Monta J. and LaMerle McKethan. Survivors include his wife Ruth, sons Darren and wife Lisa, of Robinson and Kevin and wife Heather, of Hillsboro. Grandchildren, John-Mark McKethan, Will McKethan and fiancée’ Kaitlyn Bell, Presley McKethan, and Dane McKethan. Sister, Lynn Urban, and Brother, Bubba McKethan and his nieces.
Honorary pall bearers include his morning coffee-drinking buddies, David Dockery, and Ray May.
The family would like to thank M.D. Anderson, Dr. Stones, Providence Hospice, and Jerry and Ruth’s neighbors who have been there in so many ways without being asked.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Robinson General Fund.
“Jerry McKethan constantly looked for the best in everyone, and brought it out in most.”
