Jeffrey Parks

Jeffrey Wayne Parks, 49, of Golinda, died March 12, 2016 following a long battle with a rare genetic cancer. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 19, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.

Jeff was born August 24, 1966 in Lubbock to Doyle and Mary (Bryant) Parks. He graduated from Klondike High School and attended Texas Tech University.

Jeff is survived by his parents of Golinda; brothers, Kelly and wife, Maureen of Waco, Wade and wife, Cassie and their son, Ethan of Katy; his son, Nicholas Hicks of Wind River, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Lorene Parks of Goldthwaite; along with many relatives and friends. Jeff also leaves his fiancée, friend, confidant, care-taker, and soul mate, Teresa Esther Chapoy of Del Rio, Texas. Teresa was constantly at his side throughout his illness and was truly his “Angel.”

The family suggests memorials be made through gifts of services, food, or monetary donations to The Fisher House at Fisher House Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike #420 Rockville, MD 20850. The Fisher House provides housing for veteran’s families during medical crisis across the United States.
