Jeanie Beauchamp

March 3, 1938 — November 17, 2015

Jeanie Medart Beauchamp, of Lorena, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2015. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 24 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. Waco, with Lance Perkins and Jeremiah Parks officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Falls County. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm Monday, November 23 at the funeral home.

Jeanie was born on March 3, 1938 in San Angelo, Texas to Tom and Leona (Williams) Medart. Jeanie had been active in the floral industry for over 45 years and was a Texas Master Florist. She brought joy into many lives through the medium of flowers. She was a life-time member of Central Texas Allied Florist Association where she served in every elected office, as well as the Texas State Florist Association. Jeanie served as Director of the TSTI Floricultural Department and designed for one of the largest wholesale florists of the Southwest. She was a staff member on the design team of Redbook Floral Association, where she taught floral care, handling and floral design.

A long time Baptist, Jeanie served in numerous capacities in her church through the years, including Sunday School Superintendent, teacher, WMU President and as a member of numerous committees. Jeanie was a member of Waco Exes, Beta Sigma Phi, Altrusa and Director of the Robinson Chamber of Commerce.

In her 39 year membership with the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) she served in every elected office, and was District 2 National Vice President (5 states). Jeanie was awarded ABWA Woman of the Year numerous times, along with Top Ten Nominee. She received the Indian Springs Chapter Hall of Fame Award and was a charter member of Champions Noontime Express, now Lone Star Chapter, ABWA. In 1999, Jeanie was honored with the Woman of Distinction Award by the Bluebonnet Girl Scout Council, as well as the Small Business Advocate of the Dallas/Fort Worth District.

Jeanie is survived by her best friend and devoted husband Glen. She is also survived by their children, Rick Beauchamp and wife Laura, Robin Haney and husband Terry, Sam Beauchamp and Robin Dee Wisenhut, Lance Perkins and wife Shanda, daughter-in-law Rhonda Beauchamp, other son Robby Swain, 28 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as her brothers, Bob Medart of Bonanza, OR and Noyis Medart of Dallas, TX.
