Jean Wilson

February 21, 1934 — April 22, 2014

Martha "Jean" Wilson, 80, became whole again the morning of April 22, 2014, with her devoted husband and son by her side. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson. Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 25, at Pecan Grove with Pastor Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
Jean left a legacy of love that will not soon be forgotten. She was born on February 21, 1934 to Ira and Bertha Rogers, of Hewitt. Her children and grandchildren heard stories about life before electricity and refrigerators, of a child who picked cotton with her mother and grandmother, of a little girl that outgrew her shoes too quickly when she was rationed to only one pair a year. She spent most of her working years at Texas Farm Bureau in Waco and retired in 1991. There she created some of her dearest friendships. After she raised her sons, she devoted a great deal of her time helping to also raise her granddaughters. She knew the true meaning of heartache having to outlive two of her sons but always continued to rejoice in the lives of her family and friends. She spent her life taking care of those around her, and, even as her health faded, was worried about everyone else.
Her family finds comfort in these memories and knowing that she is rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with loved ones and loving the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Bertha Rogers, of Hewitt; her sons, Kenny Wilson, of Waco and Bruce Wilson, of Mineral Wells; and many aunts and uncles whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Woody Wilson, of Hewitt, who has spent every waking moment caring for her the past 2-1/2 years; her brother, Jimmy Rogers and wife Tommie, of Groesbeck; her sons and their wives, Ronnie & Pam Wilson, of Riesel and Terry & Jackie Wilson of Alvin; her granddaughters and their husbands Shawn & Joddy Ronje of Justin, Steven & Elizabeth Chudej of, Waco, Robert & Sarah Nichols of, Lorena, Jett & Shelly Miller of Alvin, and Nicole Wilson; great-grandchildren Kayla Ronje, Peyton Nichols, Nathaniel Chudej, and Case Miller; and great-great-grandchildren Dominic and Berkleigh Ronje.

Pallbearers will be, Larry Wilson, Wyatt Wilson, Rodney Harrison, Steven Chudej, Larry Rogers, Jimmy Lee Rogers and Ray Rogers.
