Jean Perkins

Jean Perkins,79, of Golinda passed away Saturday July 13, 2013 in Waco, Tx. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday July 16, 2013 at Pecan Grove F.H. 3124 Robinson Dr. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Tx. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Monday at Pecan Grove. Jean was born Sept. 2, 1933 in Hubbard, Tx to Herman and Leta Perkins. She was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church and she retired after 25 years as City Secretary of Lacy-Lakeview in 1998. Jean loved her family and friends dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents , one sister, two brothers and son Robert Whitt. Jean is survived by daughter Verna Whitt ,two sons Lester Whitt and Perry Whitt and wife Gwyn ,sister Mona Hardy, brother Robert Perkins, six grandchildren , five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Bluebonnet Hospice and Ridgecrest Retirement Center.
