James Dewitt “J.D.” Marsh 86, of Robinson, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Services will be 10 am Monday, July 8, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. with Pastor Micheal Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Sunday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
J.D. was born January 13, 1927, in Jacksonville, TX to Sam and Angie Marsh. He served in the Army during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life Christine Key on June 18, 1960, they were married 53 wonderful years.
J.D. was a Machinist for 20 years for Texaco Research Company. He owned and operated two service stations and a feed store in Robinson. He enjoyed traveling and raising his Brahma cattle. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Robinson. J.D. was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Marsh; step-sons, James Ray Key and wife Vicky, Ricky Key and wife Myra, and Dwight Key and wife Joye; adopted daughter, Lana Giebe and husband Tom; nieces, Margie Toliver and husband Richard, and Marie Ross and husband George; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; lots of Brothers and sisters-in-laws, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be, Ricky L. Key, Jason D. Key, Cody W. Key, Trent Stephens, Doug Merriman, and Donnie W. Collins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Roger Collins and Jim Haston.
