Jana Kay Garner, 68 of Eddy, was reunited with the love of her life and only son in heaven on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Visitation will be Monday, April 15th from 6-8 pm at Pecan Grove funeral home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 10:00 am at Eddy Cemetery with Lee Casey officiating.
Jana was born on July 13, 1955, to Kenneth and Mary Jacobs. She married the love of her life, Bob Ed Garner. They were married for 34 years until his death in 2016. Together, they had a son, Kenneth, in 1982.
Jana worked for the city of Bruceville-Eddy as city secretary and judge. Jana was employed with Oncor electric in various positions for 15 years. Jana retired from Oncor, March 31, 2022. Her greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful wife, mother, and friend.
Jana enjoyed camping, fishing, horseback riding, cooking, sewing, and working outside in her yard. She enjoyed her retirement the last two years by spending time with her furbaby Belle, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Jana is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Ed Garner, her son, Kenneth and her mother and father.
Jana is survived by her little furbaby, Belle, daughter-in-law, Angela Garner and honorary son, Michael Casey from Lorena, Joe Frerich and Shandy Eberle, honorary son and daughter from Eddy, brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Lynda Jacobs of Waco, “sisters,” Jackie Wolf and Susan Wiley. Jana also left behind a large number of family and friends that loved and adored her.
Pallbearers: Tommy Frerich, Zane Wheeldon, Lucas Pruitt, Billy Fletes, Kirk Casey and Chet Long.
