James Smith

May 28, 1969 — March 15, 2015

Darryle Smith,45, of Robinson, passed away at his residence on March 15, 2015. Darryle’s life will be celebrated with a remembrance service on Friday, March 20 at 2pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. in Waco. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19 from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
God so graciously placed Darryle into the arms of his loving parents, James and Arvie Smith on May 28, 1969, where he joined his big sister, Patty. He grew up in the Waco area, but his fondest memories were at his family home on the Brazos River, where he entered back into the kingdom of Heaven. He graduated from University High School and went on to work at the Methodist Home and Lamb’s Lighting. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Azbell Electronics, where he worked for several years with his closest friend, Billy Azbell, Jr. He married his wife, Lori, September 26, 1997 and considered himself so very blessed to call her children his own. The highlight of Darryle’s life was being a Pawpaw to his grandchildren, Leah and Myles. He also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Jessi, Lola, Sophia and Lillie.
Darryle was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lori Smith, of Robinson, along with her sons Terry, Ben and Luke Farmer and grandchildren, Leah and Myles Farmer. Survivors also include his sister and her husband, Patty and Terry Mulcahy of Lacy Lakeview, and their children Shawn, P.J., Tara and Shane, along with many close friends on the river.
