Pop was born March 11, 1927, in Marlin Texas to Joseph and Olga Robert. He grew from a kind hearted, hardworking boy into a hard working kind hearted man. Pop lived his whole life in the Waco area, working in construction, building homes and churches around the southern states. Pop was very proud of being a veteran. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and father. He was a dedicated family man who loved his wife Mildred and 8 children dearly. Pop never knew a stranger and was the first person to lend a hand to anyone in need. In our sadness we know that he has walked into Heaven healed and pain free. His long wait to see his son Bobby has ended, he hugged his oldest son John and he strolled across Heaven with Gram. Pop will be missed by all who knew and who loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Kiston Laosa and husband Michael of Round Rock; sons, Terry Robert of Round Rock, Robert B. Robert of Waco, Jamie Robert and wife Donna of Mansfield, Larry Robert and wife Genna of Moody, and Don Robert of Waco. He will be missed by his brother, JD Robert and wife Deloris of Waco, and sister Lucille, of Waco, and Jerry Robert and wife Betty of Riesel. He will be missed by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
