James Daniel "J.D." Marshall, 65, of Rosenthal, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. Services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 23, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., with Pastor Edwin Lipsey officiating. The family will receive visitors, Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
J.D. was born May 27, 1950, in Palestine, Texas, to Claude and Emma Marshall. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for many years at Lehigh Portland. J.D.'s second career was with Aramark, where he truly enjoyed the fellowship with the friends he made there. He was a regular at the bingo hall.
He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. That's where he thrived and that's where he will continue to thrive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, D'Esta; and brother, Dale.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Doris; sons, Chad and fiancé, Christina, Lance and husband, James and Austin; grandchildren, Ty, Payge, and Miles; brother, David; He was blessed with a blended family including; daughters, Lory, and husband, Kyle, Laynie and Kandace; grandchildren, Kris, Marie and Bryce, Ashley, Hope and Caleb, Eric, Daniel and Daylen; great-grandchildren, Blake, Blayne, Kadience, Kennedy, Kash and Kinsler; J.D. was loved by many friends, nieces, nephews and family.
