James Frank Lambert, Sr., 78, of Mart, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at his home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. There will be a visitation 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Jim was born June 5, 1945 to Frank Arthur Lambert and Mary Ann Nyre in Youngstown, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He always made an impression with all he met and you would never have any doubt where you stood with him. Jim knew the importance of forming relationships with those who would add positivity to his life. Which led him to form the most important relationship of all when he met Ruthie.
Jim loved his wife Ruthie deeply and truly. They forged a life that endured the toughest times and trials that would produce a life story of family, laughs, and contentment. At the center of Jim's life and heart was his family, whom he protected fiercely. provided for steadfastly and loved relentlessly. "Right, wrong, or in-between family ALWAYS comes first." Jim, Dad, Papa...you will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Marie Harvey and husband Kenneth; son, Frank Rufus Even Lambert and wife Anne; his grandchildren, Amber, Chelsea, E.J., Jackson, Halle, Camden and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Zayne, Zoe, Payton, Cameron, Tristain, and Keileigh.
