It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of James Franklin Delony, Jr., 73, of Golinda, Texas. Our beloved sadly left our world to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 12, 2024. James was born to James Sr. and Elva Delony on September 30, 1950, in Hondo, Texas.
James will be remembered as a remarkable man. He worked hard as a contractor and carpenter, but he was really a Jack of All Trades and Master of Many. There was nothing he couldn’t do or fix. In his lifetime James enjoyed black powder guns, canoeing, raising livestock, throwing tomahawks and knives, and 50-mile bike marathons, and many other fun things. James was a fun-loving, happy person that brought smiles to everyone. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his dad and mom, brothers Trent and Clarence, several cousins, aunts, uncles and two grandsons.
James is survived by his wife, Emily Ann Delony, the love of his life. Three sons, Jason, Jacob, and James III, one daughter, Amanda Buchanan, and two sisters, Mary, and Debra. He is also survived by 7 amazing grandchildren and his beloved little Big Dog Bandit.
