James Daugherty

James Elbert Daugherty Jr. 85, of Robinson, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Thursday, June 19, 2014. A graveside service will be held, 2 pm, Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Kirk Cemetery, outside of Mart, with Pastor Steve Abbe and Rev. Linda Wimberly officiating. The family will receive visitors, Friday, June 20, from 6-8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
James was born September 27, 1928 in, Ben Hur, Texas, to James Elbert Sr. and Ola Wilson Daugherty. He married the love of his life, Juanita Stewart in Marlin, on July 23, 1949. He worked for the Texas Highway Department for 37 years. He coached little league baseball for his sons, winning state, in 1971. He loved spending time with his friends, drinking coffee and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Daugherty and son, James E. Daugherty III.
He is survived by his children, Randy Daugherty and wife, Gwen, Kelly Daugherty, Chris Daugherty and Deena Wagenschein and husband, Kevin; daughter-in-law, Linda Daugherty; grandchildren, Kerri, Bradley, Kristi and husband Jesse, Kayla, Cooper, Dalton, Samantha, and Jay; great-grandchildren, Drake, Kyiree, Jailon, and Madison.
